Laurie is a qualified Personal Trainer and is certified with Physical Activity Australia (previously Kinect Australia).
He has been a trainer for over 10 years and is the founder and principal trainer at Defy Limits which has been operating since 2009.
With a strong interest in health and fitness, Laurie is continually studying in this field and, in addition to his Personal Training qualifications, has certification in Pilates, Advanced Core Conditioning, Kettlebell Training and Nutrition.
He is committed to people development and has practiced in individual and team mentoring and creating personal development programs.
Laurie has also been training in karate for over 20 years, being a student of San Chi Kai (free style) karate and now an Instructor and Student at Kako Genzai Mirai with black belt accreditation. Together with his position as an instructor at Kako GeKnzai Mirai Blackburn karate school, Laurie is able to utilise and incorporate his karate experience into the Defy Limits Training Program.
